Bocce Ball – Picnic Game

Not attended	10 games per hour	Court size: 30′ x 6′. Allow room surrounding court.
Participants must be ages 8+	None	Indoors: a level, dry operating surface Outdoors: level, grass surface

• Bocce is played with eight large balls and one smaller target or object ball called the jack or Pallino
• There are 4 balls to a side or team, and they are made in two colors to distinguish the balls of one team from the 4 balls of the opposing team
• A coin toss will determine which team has the jack/Pallina and which color balls that team selects
• The jack/Pallina is thrown out by a member of the team having won the coin toss to start the game
• The same player throwing the jack must deliver the first bocce ball

In Bocce Ball, the only object of the game is to get one or more of your team’s balls closer than any of your opponent’s balls to the jack/Pallina at the end of every set. You can play for a time period or play a fixed predetermined winning score of 9, 11, 13, etc.
