How far in advance should I book my event?
The earlier the better is preferred to guarantee that we have the desired attraction(s) available for your event date. However, we can book last-minute events if needed.
What is included in your pricing?
Our pricing is completely all-inclusive, covering delivery, setup, and takedown for your event. While event staff is typically included with our attractions, your Sales Representative will explicitly note any exceptions on your quote. Please note that for events located outside our standard service area, staff overnight accommodations may be required.
What time does your crew arrive to set up the day of the event?
To ensure an on-time setup, our team will arrive approximately 2 hours before your event begins. Additionally, our Crew Chief will call you 1–2 days prior to your event date to confirm all the final details.
What is your weather and/or cancellation policy?
You can view our weather cancellations, revisions, or generic cancellation policies here.
How long is the rental?
Our standard rental rate covers up to 4 hours. If your event requires a longer timeframe, please let your Sales Representative know so we can adjust your quote.
Are waivers needed in order to participate on your attractions?
You can view what attractions require a waiver here.
What types of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, ACH, and checks. If you are paying by check, it can be made payable to Record-A-Hit Entertainment at 1380 Brummel Ave, Elk Grove Village, IL, 60007.
Does Record-A-Hit Entertainment have insurance?
Yes, we are fully insured! We are happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance. If you do need to be listed as additionally insured, we can add you to the Certificate of Insurance at no extra cost.
What types of parties and events do you provide rentals to?
We provide rentals to cities, colleges, corporations, trade shows, park districts, schools, mitzvahs, schools, weddings, and private parties.
How do I finalize my event?
To finalize your upcoming event, please note the next steps:
- Event Details: We need all final details to generate your contract
- Contract Signing: Once sent, you will have 7 days to review and sign
- Deposit: Please check your invoice to see if a deposit is required for your booking
Are your rentals clean?
Yes!
Do you supply power if I’m unable to?
Yes, generators are available for an additional fee of $150 each.
What happens if I’m unable to use stakes in the ground to secure the rental?
To ensure everything is securely in place, we will provide sandbags for an additional fee of $15 each.
Do I need to do anything if we are using stakes in the ground?
In some cases, an event planner or event host may be asked to call JULIE prior to their event if we are using stakes. Julie, Inc is a nonprofit organization that provides underground utility locations in Illinois. JULIE assists when someone plans to dig and notifies utility companies about the planned dig. They help prevent damage to underground utility lines, which reduces service interruption and prevents injuries.
For your Movie Screen rentals, what time should the movie start?
Outdoor movies kick off 20 minutes after sunset, but if we’re indoors, showtime is whenever you’re ready!
For the LED Furniture, LED Dance Floor, and any glow attractions, how do you achieve the best ambiance?
For the best experience, we recommend setting up in a darkened room if indoors, or operating after sunset if outdoors.
Are there any requirements for rental set-up?
All attractions require a flat, level surface for setup (including grass). However, please note that the Portable Roller Rink, Iceless Skating Rink, and LED Dance Floor cannot be set up on grass under any circumstances.
Can I use Record-A-Hit for an event at a Cook County Forest Preserve in Illinois?
Absolutely. Record-A-Hit is an approved vendor for the Forest Preserves of Cook County for both private picnics and public events.
Is your equipment licensed and inspected by the State of Illinois?
Yes! We are an authorized company for public events under the Illinois Department of Labor’s Amusement Ride and Attraction Safety (ARAS) division, meaning our operations meet all state safety mandates.
What safety certifications do your inflatable attendants have?
Our team is SIOTO-certified in Basic Inflatable Safety Operations. This rigorous training ensures our attendants are experts in industry standards, risk management, hazard prevention, and safe setup procedures, so your event runs smoothly and securely.
Are you a Chicago Public School (CPS) vendor?
