Key Things You Need to Know About Insurance and Liability for Your Next Event

Planning an upcoming event or party takes time, effort, and a whole lot of hope for sunshine and good weather. But even the most meticulously planned event can be derailed by an unexpected accident or injury. That’s where event insurance and understanding liability come in – they’re your safety nets to ensure your big day goes off without a financial or legal hitch.

So, why does event insurance matter?

Insurance allows you to know you’re covered during unforeseen circumstances and allows you to focus on creating a great event, not worrying about worst-case scenarios. Record-A-Hit will always provide proof of insurance to our clients. For our certificate of insurance (COI), we will add the client as additionally insurance, so please provide us with the name of the organization and the best address to be added to the COI.

Lawsuits and medical bills can be devastating, which is why most of our attraction require liability waivers. Anyone under the age of 16 will need a parent of legal guardian to sign the waiver for them.

There are a few ways to obtain waiver signatures:

  1. Our crew can have participants sign the waiver when they are ready to go on the attraction.
  2. You can email our liability waivers prior to the event out to participants. Please note, our crew will need the liability waivers in hand and online before the event starts in order for the waivers to be approved.
